The AB-PLC is equipped with internal memory. This means if your internet connection is temporarily not available, it will store the data until the internet is available again, and then send that stored data to the PhocosLink Cloud*. This way loss of data is avoided. In case the internet outage lasts several weeks, the data accumulated beyond that is summarized into 8-hour intervals. This way there will be no “holes” in the data and cumulative energies remain correct, however the resolution drops to longer time intervals.
During an internet outage of the AB-PLC, the AB-PLC and thus attached power devices cannot be reached. However, the PhocosLink Cloud remains available online with all historical data.
* Functionality distributed automatically in a future OTA (over-the-air) update. No user intervention required.
